PLEASE NOTE:

The following events are planned for 2023 at the moment. This list will be updated as soon as new events are confirmed. Some events may be of interest to EATOC members but are not organised by the club, please check details before setting out as the club will not take any responsibility for incorrect information appearing here.

It is possible for those of you who use a smartphone or tablet to have the events calendar added into the calendar on your device. Instructions on how to do this are at the bottom of this page.

Please note - the club has public liability cover arranged for all the club members when at meetings or gatherings. If you are not a member of the club then we will the not stop anyone coming to an event but you do so at your own risk and will not be covered under the club's insurance.

This list and calendar are colour-coded to make it easier to find the events you are interested in by using the following key.

Norfolk Run

The route for the Norfolk Run has now been test driven and finalised. You can download the route from the links below remember to download both routes - please note you will need to be a member of Myrouteapp and also a member of the eatoc group to access it.

The plan for the day is as follows:

  • 09:30 Arrive at Tiger Factory
  • 11:00 Depart Tiger on first part of run.the first section is 74 miles long
  • 13:00 Lunch stop The New Forge, Norwich Road, Aylsham, NR11 6UD
  • There is a petrol station within a mile of the lunch stop
  • 14:30. Depart on Part 2 of the run this section is 89 miles back to Wisbech.
  • 16:00 Afternoon Break - The Feathers 71 Manor Road, Dersingham, PE31 6LN
  • 17:30 Return to Wisbech (the route map ends at Elm Roundabout)

The overall run length is 153 miles, the distance to the lunch stop is 74 miles.

Important: Before arriving at Tiger please ensure you have a full fuel tank (no matter which way you come into Wisbech you will pass at least one petrol station as we will not be stopping on the outbound run. We do not need to book food in advance but will advise the pub of numbers prior to leaving Tiger

The musuem entrance is a bit hard to find, so we will meet up at the school on Blenheim Park.

The postcode for the meeting point is NR21 7LX

Meet at 09.30 to depart school at 09.45 hrs for the 5 minute drive.

Museum will open from 10.00 hrs

They do tea and cakes on site.

Maybe a little informal drive out afterwards or find a pub for dinner!, We would appreciate knowing if you are attending, so that we wait for you, Please advise by 1 June

The route for the Lincolnshire run has been finalised You can download the route from the link below.

The overall route length is 145 miles both starting and ending at the Tiger Factory in Wisbech. There are three stops planned for the day, the first is at Heckington Windmill, the second (lunch) stop is at Damons in Lincoln (where we stopped last year) and the final stop is the Grantham A1 services before heading back home.

As mentioned on previous runs please ensure you have a full tank of fuel before arriving at the start point.

The overall route length is 69 miles both starting at the Two Flags cafe on the A47 (just before the petrol stations) it is the one which looks like a pair of slightly tatty boxes.

The end point will be the Old Pheasant Inn in Glaston - they have asked for pre-orders so the food can be ready when we arrive - an email will be sent with the menu shortly.
