Driving Routes
As long standing members know we organise quite a few one day tours for people to come along to. After a tour is completed it is usually just binned and forgotten about - however some of the club members might wish to do the same trip again and didn't remember the route fully.
So to counter this we are going to bring all the route maps that we have used back into one place so they can become a library for the club and other people to use as they see fit. If you have any routes you would like to add please contact the club committee.

Starting from the Tiger Factory.
Head out of Wisbech heading north on the A1101. At Long Sutton join the A17 crossing the A52, then turn right to the A1121. Take the B1192 towards Conningsby and we will have a rest stop at the Bubblecar Musuem where you can get a drink and have a (quick) wander round. Then up to Woodhall Spa, Horncastle, Louth and onto the lunch stop (Jug and Kettle pub). For the return leg (Head back down towards Louth on the same road, then take the A16 all the way to the end point. The end point is the services on the A16/A17 junction.

Starting from the Tiger Factory, Head towards Downham Market, then towards Swaffham. However we will turn back towards Kings Lynn to a meeting point at the Carpenters Arms in East Winch. From East Winch we head to Sandringham for lunch. After lunch we head up the back roads to the main A149 coastal path. We will use the Burnham Deepdale petrol station as a stop (this is marked on the maps) and is 67 miles from the start (well within fuel range for everyone) The route then follows the A149 to Weybourne, where we turn Right onto the Holt Road. This brings up to Emcy Garden Centre (another planned stop). From there it is back to the A148, then the B1110 and B1145 to the edge of Kings Lynn. Follow the A149 back to the Hardwick roundabout and rejoin the A47 back to Wisbech. |

There is a fuel/comfort stop in Thetford at a Tesco supermarket which is off main route. When leaving Thetford, at tulip 24 the main road banks to the right and there is a caravan site sign which goes straight on, follow that sign. When going through Attleborough you are in a one way system just look for the A11 signs. You are on the A11 for about 4 miles and then turn off at the first exit and loop back on the south side of the road. If you miss this exit the next one is about 8 miles further up! Lunch stop is at Mr D's Diner on the A11 Westbound |
